As I have experience with the cars. To start you off learn how to drive the car with:

Rear-Wing - 1degree
And for a 1lap qualilfying learn how to drive with 5laps of fuel. The additional weight gives the car alot of stability and allows you to push.

philippe: sure thats fine mate. Its adding another driver to the Nations Cup. It doesn't matter if you think your not super fast. I'm sure once you learn the cars you will get better and better. Its not about winning its about having a good time and having some close fights for positions :)

Hey Ryan,

Thats exactly the spirit behind BeRacing, its not about winning, but just to give the people a good time and a nice way of racing against others.

Great to see new people sharing our philosophy !

Joeri

Hi Ryan,

Thanks for your positive respons, do I have to do anything extra to line up for the first race in Zolder? (it's my first league experience).

Is there a possibility to practise together online?

Don't worry about my racing skills, I am indeed not superfast but I have some experience racing online with Meganes on public servers and I share the website philosophy "it's all about having racing fun, results are secondary". I will respect this spirit and of course all other racing & courtesy rules.

Please let me know if I have to do anything special before joining your team...

Looking forward to meet you (and all the other enthusiasts) on track...

Regards,
Philippe

The one main rule really is being a gentlemen.
- Don't ram people off the track. If you take someone out accidentally, just wait in a safe place for them to catch back up.
- If you cut a corner in as pass attempt. Allow the driver to repass you.
- If you cut a corner slow down to get rid of your advantage. (Especially in qualilfying as you don't want your fastest sector to be in the sector you took the advantage).

Thats it really. If you've signed up to the website, you will receive e-mails from the admins to say the servers will be open and then you can practise with the other drivers are on.
I'll get a setup out asap for the freshers (new starters).

And Philippe you don't have to do anything special apart from have fun and follow the simple gentlemen code and you will enjoy your experience in leagues. Far better than racing on pub servers as you get the respect of other drivers instead of being taken out intentially ^_^

Is there something as a "guest-driver" team ?
I only want to join the first race on Zolder.

Hey Frank !

We do not have something like a guest driver team, but there are still some seats left. Team Pistonheads and team SRD Speedworx still have a vacant seat. If they can't find a teammate before the first race, maybe you could join in with one of them ?

And maybe if you get the taste of it you'll want to drive the whole season, who knows ;). But I know that our racedays are the same as VRL's LFS racedays, and I suppose you want to commit there, which is fully understandable ;)

So I should contact those guys?
Where do I find email adresses ?

Since the yellow car is cooler then the green one my first choice is to join Martin Buchan.

About joining all races. I only do a sunday race 1 time in 2 weeks. So I will join the VRL rF races. Sometimes I drive an extra sunday if like I will do for beRacing Zolder (also because I know the track and car). I will probably only do 1 LFS race in the VRL.

Hey Niko and red_devil !

niko: Indeed we currently have some problems with the email notification when new users register (the activation email). That's why I activated you manually in our database of the main website.

both: There are indeed still 2 seats available and you should get in touch with the team managers (team green or yellow, see first post of this thread) to see if they can fit you in.

Frank, if red_devil and sochmacher want to join one of the official teams, I'd give them priority BUT ... for Zolder we will make an exception and allow you to drive as an independent driver. So 17 cars are allowed for Zolder (16 regulars + 1 guest).
